About This Plant

Full or partial sun. Evergreen. A low-growing drought tolerant herb attractive to honey bees. It is commonly used in pots but can also function as an informal ground cover among stepping stones or in rock gardens. There are different varieties of thyme. French thyme is great for Central Texas.

Maintenance

Can be planted in spring in well-drained soil; avoid wet feet. Expect to prune it back severely in March and moderately in July.

A small culinary herb that can make a fragrant groundcover between stepping stones.
