Full or partial sun, as long as soils are well-drained. Flowers open in morning and remain through midday. The feathery seed heads are unmistakably dandelions, but it lacks the prickly leaves of the non-native “sow thistle” dandelion.
Dandelion is attractive to small pollinators and children, and it’s easy enough to find since it’s a common lawn weed.
