About This Plant

Full sun. A spring-blooming wildflower. The green flowers are tiny and fairly unremarkable, but it’s the showy reddish-orange bracts that stand out in Texas fields and roadsides. Seed should be sown on bare soil in full sun in the fall.

Origins: Texas and Oklahoma

None needed, except to avoid cutting it during its development.
