Sun or bright shade. Evergreen to at least 7 degrees F. Rosettes form atop the brittle stems, with thick blue-gray, pink, and brown leaves and white, star-shaped flowers in spring. Ghost plant is carefree and easily re-rooted when the rosettes break off.
It benefits from good drainage; be especially careful to protect it from moisture during winter. Despite the botanical name (Paraguay), ghost plant is believed to be a native of Tamaulipas, Mexico.
