Cedar Sage

Salvia roemeriana

Cedar Sage, Roemer's Sage, Roemer's Salvia

About This Plant

Shade/part shade. Cedar sage is a small perennial specially adapted to grow in the shade and fine leaf litter around Hill Country native cedars. Keep this in mind and treat it like a wildflower, rather than a garden starlet; this is a plant that needs bare ground (not heavy mulch) if it’s going to set seed efficiently. Red flowers appear in summer.
