About This Plant

Sun. Evergreen and ornamental, with stiff, sharp yucca leaves up to 2′ long. Five-foot panicles of cream-colored flowers appear in late spring. Buckley’s yucca is extremely drought hardy on local hillsides, making a great specimen in full sun. Deer eat the fruit and moths are attracted to the nectar.

Origins: Texas.

Maintenance

None required. Deer may eat the flower stalks.

A native accent for any dry area.
