Sun/part shade; deciduous. A mounding perennial with narrow, green leaves and creamy-white daisy flowers. See it all summer long around the Texas Hill Country, or use it in the garden along pathways or rocky outcrops. Blackfoot Daisy thrives in lean, gravelly soil typical of the Hill Country; in San Antonio clay soils, it can be extremely short-lived.Â
Older plants can be trimmed back by 5 inches in early spring to encourage dense growth. Survival requires excellent drainage; only occasional water is needed for established plants.
A wild daisy for gravelly soils: see it dotting the Texas Hill Country all year long.Â
