For many people, getting started gardening is difficult. It’s a comment we hear often when we’re out in the field doing conservation consultations. But like any challenging task, breaking it down into small, manageable pieces and tackling them one at a time really simplifies the process.
It also helps to know what plants work for your landscape’s conditions and how to assemble them to achieve your ideal design. You’ll learn both — and much more — at WaterSaver Landscape Design School.
Presented by the Gardening Volunteers of South Texas, the design school is an interactive and informal class where participants get valuable information on xeriscapes, design, drought tolerant plants, and low maintenance tips and tricks. But the most unique feature is the one-on-one consultations with a landscape expert who will answer and address your personal landscape questions.
Class happens Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Wells Center, Suite 114, 303 Pearl Parkway.
Cost is quite reasonable: $30 for an individual, $50 for two members of a household. Considering all you get — personalized landscape consultation and three full color plant and landscape guides — it’s a steal!
