About This Plant

Partial sun / shade. Sow seeds in the fall in sandy or gravelly soils. Stiff-stem flax grows to 12″ tall and forms small colonies of wildflowers. The fibers and oil were used by settlers in their daily lives for 200 years.

Origins: South-central U.S.

Mow in early summer after seeds have fallen.
