A low, mounding evergreen salvia with woody stems and aromatic greyish foliage. Sky-blue flowers appear as early as February and may last all season long.
Native to the high mountains of the Sierra Madre Oriental, blue sage tolerates drought like a champ and rarely dies from it. However, it can be a bit fussy in protracted wet weather and may be easily over-watered, especially in poorly drained clay during a South Texas winter.
