About This Plant

Sun/shade. Baby blue eyes is an annual wildflower native to woodlands rather than roadsides. Its bowl-shaped flowers appear early in spring. It grows up to 10 inches tall and can blanket the ground in Salado Creek, Olmos Basin and other riparian settings; it can also be easily grown as a home wildflower as long as there’s some shade.

Origins: South-central U.S., Texas to Arkansas

None needed, other than to avoid mowing it during its winter growth period.
