WaterSaver Saturday is a free half day of mini-workshops on gardening, permaculture, low impact design, landscaping, flood mitigation, native plants, pollinator gardens, rainwater harvesting and more! The event happens from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Eco Centro, 1819 N. Main Ave.
Oh, and did I mention you could earn all of your WaterSaver Rewards points for the whole year on this one day? Yes, you read that right — you’ll have the opportunity to earn enough Rewards points for a $30, $50 and $70 coupon. But only if you register now for WaterSaver Saturday.
When you register, you can choose one of three one-hour workshop series:
Series 1: Sustainable Landscape Design, Composting
Series 2: Rain Water Harvesting, Gardening with Native Plants
Series 3: Permaculture, Home Efficiency – Slash Your Utility Bill
An ask-the-experts forum and gardening and sustainability showcase will follow the workshops. There will also be free plants, gardening tools and other goodies at each session, and breakfast and snacks will be served.
Participants can earn up to 7 points, worth $150 in WaterSaver Rewards coupons. Coupons include $30 toward the purchase of a rain barrel or garden tools, $50 for the purchase of organic mulch and $70 to purchase almost anything for your garden!
You don’t have to be a WaterSaver Rewards member to attend WaterSaver Saturday, but you will not receive coupons if you are not a member. Sign up for the WaterSaver Rewards program here.
